Multiple Sclerosis

My cousin recently passed away from MS, it was so hard to watch him struggle and you want to help but I think my cousin became comfortable with his disease and didn’t want to try anymore. I wish there was a group that he could have joined, maybe it would have given him hope.

I’m so sorry to hear this! That must have been so hard to see him struggle and even worse to lose him. Sending you strength and love.

Thank you so much for the encouragement Erin, in a time like today it’s really needed. So many people are really suffering in silence, they don’t want to be a burden, but at a time when they are at their most vulnerable state, that’s when they need us the most. Sometimes their pride won’t let them ask for help, but I’m the type of person that will help no matter what they say if I can.

Theresa … there are groups!!!

We at AnCan run two virtual support groups/month on 2nd & 4th Tuesdays @ 8.30pm Eastern; caregivers are welcome! These are just like physical suport groups - live, audio/visual. They are free, drop-in and peer led; join online or by phone. More info at https://ancan.org/multiplesclerosis/ Please spread the word!

There are also a nunber of other very active MS groups on FB and Twitter.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. It isn’t often we hear for someone passing from MS. When it happens it’s so hard for those who care and love the one passing.

Feel free to reach out to us for support or if you just need one to listen and help you get through such a hard time

Rick, That’s great! Thanks. I’m here as a caregiver to my husband with MS.

You are very welcome to join the MS virtual group as a caregiver too, Tabatha.

You can sign up for a reminder on the right side of the[web page] (https://ancan.org/multiplesclerosis/ )

May 2021 be safe and healthy for you and your husband … onward & upwards, rick
